B2B – Business to Business

B2C – Business to Consumer

These two terms are often used to describe if a company is providing products and services to another business or directly to the consumer, the end user.

And to some degree this is an important distinction to make as it dictates and impacts how a business is organised and how it needs to operate.

But ultimately every single business is about H2H – it’s Human to Human. It’s people who make decisions to buy or not buy, to stay loyal to a brand or not, to recommend a company or not.

We may think that we have a contract with an organization to deliver service, but that’s only part of the truth. It’s people who decide to sign that contract or not. And if they don’t have a great experience with us, they may choose to sign a new contract with someone else.

All of this is of course more obvious or apparent in a B2C scenario, where a customer can vote with their feet and decide to not come back if the experience wasn’t good.

It’s all about people. People make decisions.       Connections happen between humans.

But never underestimate the power of the human aspect of ALL business contacts. It’s all about people. People make decisions. Connections happen between humans.

And this is why how we conduct business; how we behave in interaction with others, how we make others feel, is so very important – and if anything, is only becoming more and more important.

Do you want to futureproof your leadership, to ensure future success?

Then truly act and behave in an H2H fashion.

Remember that every interaction matters.

Always think in terms of “Human to Human”, H2H – it’s the only way to go.
